 Nature ClubSRIMCA Nature Club has been started from August 2004. It has gone through various milestones & has made appreciable steps within the area of preserving the nature and its surroundings in the campus at SRIMCA. The current strength of SRIMCA Nature Club is 105 members including students of MCA & MBA as well as the teaching staff. A working committee 'CORE' of 13 representatives arranges meetings at regular basis. It is a group of students as well as faculty members who feels the emerging need of becoming aware of the perseverance of nature and to make positive efforts to prevent it from being spoiled. They do numerous activities, which is to make either the members or the people of the surrounding areas familiar with various aspects of the nature. Objective :SRIMCA Nature Club is an attempt to make the students of SRIMCA aware of current situation of the nature and to make them realize where they stand in preserving it for the generations to come. SRIMCA Nature Club is a body which not only reveals the NATURE-intensive attitude of its members, but also makes others to realize the importance of NATURE-CONSERVANCE in individual's life. Nature Club Activities :Plantation :We plant saplings all around the campus and even outside the campus. We also ensure the continuous growth of those plants. Snake Rescue Training :We Protect nature and cure injured animals, we train NATURE CLUB members by different type of training programs like - snake rescuing, animal rescuing, birds rescuing and providing treatment to injured birds and re-habitation of birds. Adventure Activities :To make students bold enough we also plan for adventurous activities like Rock climbing, river crossing, mountaineering etc. Tracking Camps :We also organized tracking camps like camps at Dang, Lion Safari, Dear Safari, Sardar Sarovar, Manali etc. Camps are organized to give the students a chance to live in proximity with nature. Bird Watching, Counting & Rescue :Bird counting activities and their regular monitoring are done by the members. Waste Management :Starting from our campus, we try to maintain cleanliness of the surroundings by proper disposal of waste and educate the people for the same in nature awareness program. Seminars :Environmentalists and experts from all over the state/region conduct regular seminars and environmental awareness talks. Special Functions :Special functions are held on days like Environment day, World Wildlife day etc to bring out the love for nature among the students. Members Meetings :Regular meetings (monthly and annual) are arranged for all the members to discuss/review/formulate policies and determining strategies to meet out the goals of our club. Nature Awareness Program :We organize nature awareness programs in villages. (e.g. We educate the people of the region e.g. villages, schools, colleges, other institutions/organizations with regards to nature and conduct appropriate activities there.) Nature Club Committee
